Mr Au joined the IFEC in March 2022 and is responsible for integrating innovation and digital strategy into investor and financial education initiatives. Mr Au has more than 25 years of extensive experience in the banking industry, leading multi-disciplinary regulatory change projects. Prior to joining the IFEC, Mr Au was senior programme manager, Asia Pacific Transformation at HSBC.

The Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC) is an independent public organisation and a subsidiary of the Securities and Futures Commission, dedicated to improving financial literacy in Hong Kong. The IFEC is supported by the four financial regulators and the Education Bureau. The IFEC promotes and delivers free and impartial investor and financial education resources and programmes through its consumer education platform, The Chin Family, and leads the Financial Literacy Strategy to facilitate stakeholders to deliver more quality investor and financial education to the Hong Kong public.
